Fluoropolymer based (4%) processing aid masterbatch in a PP homopolymer carrier. AID PP F4 by Polytechs works by modifying the interface between the polymer melt and metal surfaces of the extruder’s barrel and die. It removes die build-up, reduces significantly melt fracture, decreases die pressure, allows higher throughput, reduces energy consumption, facilitates thickness control, improves gloss and reduces color transition time. This product is particularly recommended for PP extrusion of oriented PP films (OPP, BOPP), sheets, fibers, filaments, strips, pipes and extrusion-blowing. Typically, recommended addition rate during production of AID PP F4 is between 0.5 and 1.5%. During start-up or color transition should be started from higher levels (5% or more) and then is reduced progressively to final concentration when steady-state is reached.
