FERROXIDE® Yellow 3049 by Oxerra (formerly Cathay Industries) is ferric oxide hydrate (FeOOH). It is a permanent, non-bleeding inert pigment with a clean shade, low oil absorption and good heat resistance. It is manufactured in the precipitated process and micronized for ease of dispersion in plastic systems.
  • It can be used alone and in combination with organic pigments to improve opacity.
  • It exhibits color-stability in processing temperatures below 180°C.
  • It is recommended, owing to its sufficient purity, for use in articles that come in contact with food (21CFR).
  • It offers reliability & consistent quality, stability under exposure to sunlight & UV radiation, and alkali, chemical & weather resistance.
  • FERROXIDE® Yellow 3049 is used in plastics and rubber applications.
