2,9-bis(3,5-dimethylphenyl)anthra[2,1,9-def:6,5,10-d'e'f']diisoquinoline-1,3,8,10(2H,9H)-tetrone. It is a yellow shade perylene pigment. It provides high tinctorial strength and out-standing fastness to light and weathering at a very wide range of concentrations. It is used in combination with opaque organic orange pigments or molybdate orange for very pure reds and in metallic paints for purple shades and as a shading pigment. It is suitable for high-tech applications and for most plastics.
