Baysilone™ Antifoam 3099

Baysilone™ Antifoam 3099 by Momentive Performance Materials is a 30% emulsion of modified polydimethylsiloxane. Designed as antifoam and defoamer in aqueous or polar organic media. Exhibits very good foam destruction and control under high temperatures and very high dilution stability. Shows exceptional defoaming stability in strongly alkaline media. Possesses high temperature, chemical stability, and non-corrosive property, due to which it is used in chemical processes like distillations and reflux reactions. High active content makes this product cost-effective and allows the easy formulation of diluted versions. Baysilone™ Antifoam 3099 is used as a foam suppressant in aqueous solutions, particularly those containing surfactants.
