Benefos® 1626 by Mayzo is 2,4,8,10-T etraoxa-3,9-diphosphaspiro[5.5]undecane, 3,9-bis[2,4-bis(1,1-dimethylethyl)phenoxy]. Acts as an antioxidant. Helps extends performance of primary antioxidants (i.e. BNX 1010 or BNX 1076), protects polymers from chain scission and cross-linking during melt processing, prevents discoloration of polymers during melt processing, improves long-term thermal stability, Exhibits synergism when used with light stabilizers such as benzophenones and benzotriazoles, FDA cleared for use in polyolefins, PVC, and polycarbonate. Benefos® 1626 is compatible with polyethylene, polypropylene, as well as in olefin copolymers such as EVA. Also for PVC, engineering plastics, polyurethanes, styrenic polymers and elastomers. It has a shelf life of 2 years. Recommended dosage is between 0.02% and 0.2% in polyolefins and between 0.05% and 0.25% in other substrates.
