Emerald Innovation™ 3000 by Lanxess is a highly effective, sustainable brominated polymeric flame retardant. It is an alternative to hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) in EPS and XPS foam products. Emerald Innovation™ 3000 offers a variety of enhanced performance properties in EPS (expanded polystyrene) and XPS (extruded polystyrene) foams. Its reduced tendency to retain water helps to decrease the residual water content of EPS beads which leads to improved process efficiency. The shelf life of this product is 6-12 months.
