BioAdimide® 500 XT is aromatic carbodiimide. It is used to extend service life of bio-based polyesters and to improve their melt stability during processing. With its use, the molecular weight is slightly increased resulting in melt properties being the same or slightly enhanced compared to prior processing. Its chemical composition enables stabilization of bio-based with processing temperatures below 200°C. Compatible with bio-based polyesters. Recommended dosage is 0.5 pbw to 2.0 pbw. It has a shelf life of at least 1 year.
