Hymod® M9400 SG by Huber Engineered Materials is an alumina trihydrate (aluminum hydroxide) grade (99.6% content). Acts as a flame retardant. It is a precipitated, surface treated product that provides flame retardancy and smoke suppression. The surface modification enables it to have low moisture and to be easily & uniformly dispersed into polymers at high loading levels. Provides excellent processing characteristics as well as superior electrical and mechanical properties. Suitable for acrylic, EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer), EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate), SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber), polyester and polyolefin compounds. Applications of Hymod® M9400 SG include foamed insulation, wire & cable jacketing, TPO (thermoplastic olefin) roofing membranes and injection molded & extruded polyolefins.
