Hydral® Coat 5 by Huber Engineered Materials is hydral precipitated aluminum hydroxide. Acts as a flame retardant. It has a median particle size of 0.5 microns and uniform particle size distribution. Provides excellent processing characteristics as well as superior electrical and mechanical properties. Compatible with thermoplastic or cross-linked polymer compounds, such as polyolefins and their co-polymers, rubber and flexible PVC. Hydral® Coat 5 is suitable for use in compound applications where excellent electrical properties are needed, such as in cable insulation materials.
