It is used as a working solvent in the anthraquinone hydrogen peroxide production process, replacing hydrogenated terpene pine alcohol. It exhibits low volatility and a high extraction partition coefficient. Trioctyl Phosphate (TOP) is suitable for vinyl resin, cellulose resin and synthetic rubbers. It demonstrates better low-temperature performance than adipic acid esters.
