Flyclear -398

1,3:2,4- bis ( 3,4- dimethylbenzylidene) sorbitol. Acts as nucleating agent. Has molecular weight of 414 g/mol. Used in homopolymer and copolymer polypropylene and LLDPE films, as well as super high molecular weight polyethylene. It helps to decrease haze from 37% to about 10% by adding 0.3% polyadd clear-3 in homopolymer polypropylene injection molded piece of 2mm thickness, and that of polypropylene random copolymer injection molded piece with the same thickness is decreased to about 6%. The haze in LLDPE films can be decreased not less than 87% by adding 0.2% polyadd clear-3. The recommended level is 0.1-0.35% in polypropylene transparent injection moldings, and is 0.1-0.2% in LLDPE. It can be employed in conjunction with white oil or other appropriate dispersant agents.
