AUSITERM 431 by Greenchemicals acts as a processing aid. It is a general-purpose additive designed for technopolymers, polymer blends, and fiber-reinforced composites. It optimizes the extrusion process by reducing viscosity during melting without affecting intrinsic viscosity.
  • Its application results in shorter cycle times, improved mold release, and enhanced polymer compatibility, particularly in blends such as ABS/PC, PC/PBT, and PS/PE.
  • It improves pigment, filler, and glass fiber dispersion, promotes flux junction, leading to better mechanical properties and structural integrity of final products.
  • It also prevents extrusion voids (empties), a common issue when processing polymers with varying or disordered viscosities, particularly in fiber extrusion, where it helps minimize breakages and inconsistencies.
  • AUSITERM 431 can also be used in transparent polymers such as polycarbonate (PC) and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) without compromising their transparency characteristics.
  • However, in transparent PET, although it remains perfectly compatible, it may cause a milky effect.
  • The recommended dosage ranges from 0.50%-0.70%, though higher dosages of up to 1.5%–2.0% can be used without compromising printability, weldability, or sealability.
