Ken-React® KPR® REZYK-1280 Powder supplied by FARRL is based on 78% of a monoalkoxy titanate ester compound with an aluminum co-catalyst on silicon dioxide as absorbing carrier. It acts as a co- and re-polymerization catalyst for the recycling of mixed plastics mainly from post-consumer-recycling (PCR). The combination of Ti and Al in one product enables both repolymerization as well as compatibility of different thermoplastics directly in the compounding process via a reactive extrusion with the result of a stable mixed polymer based on the raw material mix found in PCR. It reduces the melt viscosity each time the material is melted again which enables processors to compound and mold the material at a lower temperature level thus reducing the stress the material undergoes at melting. Also, helps in increasing the mechanical properties. It also offers a coupling function for substrates so any filler, fiber, pigments, etc. the PCR comes with will be dispersed and coupled in the matrix more uniformly. The product is usually added in a dosage level of 0.3-0.5% on total formulation. Ken-React® KPR® REZYK-1280 Powder has a shelf life of least 1 year after production.
