Tegopren® 6875 by Evonik is a liquid alkyl modified siloxane (liquid silicone wax). It is used for surface treatment of fillers, pigments and flame retardants making them easily dispersible in thermoplastics formulations.
- Tegopren® 6875 is also used in-situ during compounding.
- It a liquid dispersing additive in the manufacture of masterbatches.
- It exhibits excellent rheological properties, improved water repellency/lower water up-take, improved weatherability, improved mechanical properties, color strength and less speck formation.
- The optimum dosage of Tegopren® 6875 may lay in a range between 0.2 % and 3.0 %.
- Tegopren® 6875 complies with FDA 21 CFR 178.3725 and may be used in compliance with the BfR Recommendation XV.
