Eastman™ AAEM (Acetoacetoxyethyl Methacrylate) by Eastman is a methacrylate monomer. It offers improved adhesion to metal substrates, low glass transition temperature, flexibility- and corrosion resistance. It has a ability to react with amines and hydrazides makes it an ideal monomer for self-crosslinkable, room temperature cure acrylic emulsions.
  • It finds use in acetoacetylated polymers crosslinked through chelation with metal ions and for acetoacetylated polymers for producing colorfast fibers (azo-dye).
  • It readily polymerizes with other acrylic and methacrylic monomers.
  • Eastman™ AAEM (Acetoacetoxyethyl Methacrylate) is designed for plastics and polymers.
