PARALOID™ EXL-2388 Impact Modifier

PARALOID™ EXL-2388 Impact Modifier by Dow is a general purpose all acrylic core-shell impact modifier. It provides an excellent balance of impact resistance and modulus retention in a variety of engineering resins. The improvement in impact performance is obtained with only minor effect on other mechanical properties, such as heat distortion temperature, and with no adverse effect on weatherability. This cross-linked poly (butyl acrylate) core with a grafted poly-methyl methacrylate shell allows the product to disperse as discrete particles in the matrix. PARALOID™ EXL-2388 Impact Modifier is suitable for extrusion, injection molding, blow molding and thermoforming. It is used in polycarbonate (PC), polyesters (PET, PBT), blends of these thermoplastics and glass fiber reinforced systems.
