Doverguard 59 by Dover Chemical (ICC Industries) is tetrabromobisphenol A. Acts as brominated flame retardant. Doverguard 59 is highly effective when reacted into epoxy resin system, due to its structural compatibility, high bromine content, and thermal stability. Its high purity allows its use as a reactive flame retardant for polycarbonates and as an additive for styrenic thermoplastics such as ABS and high impact polystyrene. Doverguard 59 is recommended for thermoplastic and thermoset resin systems.
