UNIDIC V-8000 by DIC Corporation is an amide-imide resin which is solvent soluble. It contains rigid imide structures and terminal carboxyl groups. Acts as a hardening agent. Provides superior heat resistance when cured with epoxy resins and with high glass transition temperature. Shows excellent compatibility with general-purpose solvents. UNIDIC V-8000 is diluted in ethylene glycol acetate which has a boiling point at 217°C. Recommended for use in encapsulant materials, carbon fiber reinforced and flame retardant materials. Complies with CSCL regulation.
