Exolit™ OP 1266 (TP)

Supplied byClariant- Last Updated on Nov 6, 2025

Exolit™ OP 1266 (TP) by Clariant is a halogen-free flame retardant specifically designed to address critical challenges in e-mobility applications using polybutylene terephthalate (PBT). It provides a stable comparative tracking index (CTI) of 600 V even after extended storage periods.
  • It supports the transition to 800 V and higher e-mobility systems that demand superior electrical insulation and long-term stability.
  • It serves as an ATO-free alternative to traditional antimony trioxide–based systems, reducing exposure to raw material price fluctuations and supply chain risks.
  • It does not require fluorinated polymers like PTFE and supports compliance with strict OEM environmental standards.
  • It is ideal for e-mobility components, including high-voltage connectors, housings, and electrical insulation parts.
  • It serves applications that demand flame retardancy, electrical reliability, and long-term heat and voltage stability.
  • Recommended dosage level is 15-20% by weight in PBT to achieve UL 94 V-0 classification down to 0.4 mm thickness.
