CAB-O-SIL® PTG Fumed Silica

CAB-O-SIL® PTG by Cabot is a medium surface area untreated fumed silica. It is suitable for use in the thickening of unsaturated polyester resins. It offers high purity, aggregated structure, submicron particle size, low bulk density and hydrophilic surface chemistry. CAB-O-SIL® PTG enables thickening, thixotropic (shear-thinning) and anti-settling behavior. The thixotropic behavior enables good penetration of the resin into the matrix during application and prevents dripping.
