Bionox 245 by Bioray Chem is triethylene glycol-bis-3-(3-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl) propionate. Acts as a high molecular weight hindered phenolic antioxidant that provides very low volatility and excellent resistance to extraction from polymer compounds. Possesses good color stability, and extraction resistance. Exhibits a synergistic effect when used in combination with thioester antioxidants. Also acts as a chain stopper in PVC and ABS manufacturing process as well as fish eye reduction in flex-PVC applications. Bionox 245 can be used with benzotriazoles or HALS for thermal and light stabilization in outdoor use.
