Biofr DBDE by Bioray Chem is decabromodiphenyl ethane. Acts as a flame retardant. Has very good thermal stability and high bromine content making it a prime candidate for high temperate applications. Exhibits good UV resistance and hence it is suitable for use in many applications requiring color stability. It is not acutely toxic as well as teratogenic, no harmful to the environment and can be used in the formulations of the products meeting European dioxin ordinances. Can be used in a wide range of high performance. In particular it finds use in styrenic polymers, engineering resins, wire & cable and elastomers. Biofr DBDE is also suitable for use in system where recycling is anticipated.
