Supplied byBASF- Last Updated on Jan 31, 2024

Tinuvin® 312 by BASF acts as a UV absorber belonging to the oxanilide class. Recommended for rigid and flexible PVC and polyesters.
  • Exhibits excellent chemical resistance, no reactivity with alkalis and additional thermal stability to polyamides.
  • Imparts outstanding light stability to plastics and other organic substrates.
  • Features strong UV absorption, excellent compatibility in a wide variety of substrates and low volatility.
  • Protects polymers and organic pigments from UV radiation, preserves the original appearance and physical integrity of molded articles, films, sheets and fibers during outdoor weathering.
  • Shows low wavelength absorbance, no impact on color and transparency of the substrate.
  • Suitable for polyesters, PVC plastisol, polyurethanes, polyamides, polymethylmethacrylate, polybutylene terephthalate, polycarbonates and cellulose esters.
  • It can be combined with optical brighteners.
  • The usage level of Tinuvin® 312 ranges between 0.10 and 1.0 % depending on the substrate and performance requirements of the final application.
