Irgasurf® SR 100 B

Irgasurf® SR 100 B by BASF is a scratch resistant additive for PP-TPO. It can impart scratch and mar performance up to 15 newtons in the 5-finger and the cross-cut Erichsen tests used by many automotive producers. It also performs in combination with various light stabilizers and does not show detrimental surface effects such as stickiness or exudation during use. Boosts the mechanical properties and allows design cost-effective modules based on TPOs against more expensive technologies. It can work also in TPEs, PE, polyamides, styrenics and blends as well as other polymers. Main applications are interior and exterior automotive parts like instrument panels, consoles, door panels or bumpers, side trims, rocker panels. Irgasurf® SR 100 B may be used at loadings from 0.1 % to 5 % and for most applications in PP/TPO a level of 2 to 3 % will give an excellent performance.
