Iscowax A

Iscowax A by Akrochem is a low molecular weight polyethylene wax. It is also used as a processing aid in natural- and synthetic rubber. It offers a lower drop or softening point than standard PE wax. It exhibits excellent compatibility and flow characteristics in the rubber compounds. It improves flow for injection and transfer molding. It enhances filler dispersion when added early in the mix. It provides a glossier finish to cured parts at higher loadings and releases from hot metal surfaces (internal mixers, hot calender roll, extruder dies and molds). Recommended dosage level of Iscowax A is 2-6 phr in elastomers, 1 phr in fluoro-elastomer, up to 5 phr in compounds with little vulcanized properties and high loading (20 phr) can be used in EPDM.
