Akrowax™ 5084 by Akrochem is a proprietary blend of micro-crystalline and melt-point paraffin wax. It is designed for maximum protection of rubber articles exposed to high ozone levels at ambient temperature. It is used in rubber to give ozone resistance at a wide spectrum of temperatures. This blend promotes a flexible wax film bloom at all temperatures. Akrowax™ 5084 is designed for indirect or direct food additives. Recommended dosage in typical loading is 2-4 phr in normal application and highly loaded compound is 4-8 phr. It complies with FDA.
