Akrofax™ SD

Akrofax™ SD by Akrochem is vulcanized vegetable oil. It exhibits ability to flow or promote flow under mechanical pressure. It improves ozone resistance of the rubber compounds. It provides non-thermoplastic structure in uncured compounds that strengthen extruded sections and minimizes distortions in open steam cures. It increases the incorporation of fillers and milling efficiency. It offers a unique surface finish and supple feel to vulcanized rubber goods. Akrofax™ SD reduces migration of oils and plasticizers to the surface in low durometer stocks and air trapping due to better de-gassing and firmer compound. It absorbs large amounts of mineral oils and liquid plasticizer on mill and banbury. It gives lowest cured durometer (along with Akrofax K) per unit added of all the Akrofax brown.
