Accelerator MBTS

Accelerator MBTS by Akrochem is a non-staining, primary thiazole accelerator designed for natural- and synthetic rubbers. It is very active at a temperature at 280°F. It requires zinc oxide, fatty acid and sulfur, to achieve cure development. This grade, when used with a secondary accelerator like aldehyde amine, di-thiocarbamates, alkaline, guanidines and thiurams, will raise the cure rate. It increases scorch resistance when combined with PX-, AK- or SAFE retarders. Accelerator MBTS also acts as a retarder in polychloroprene- and peroxide cures. It is easy to handle polymer-bound dispersion providing better uniformity of mix at low temperature, upgrade plant safety and quality. It employes in tire vulcanization cure systems when blends with BBTS.
