Accelerator DOTG by Akrochem is a strong activation for thiazole (MBTS, MBT, ZMBT) accelerated curing systems in NR, SBR and NBR. It is also effective in CR with thiuram/sulfur cures. Compounds using DOTG as a secondary accelerator can be vulcanized by all methods (press, steam, hot air). It exhibits better processing safety than diphenyl guanidine. It requires use of zinc oxide to develop good cure and is approved for food contact. In this, antioxidant is recommended for maximum aging protection. It is easy to handle polymer-bound dispersion providing better uniformity of mix at low temperature, upgrade plant safety and quality. Accelerator DOTG has a shelf life of 24 months.
