Empara™ A-3 by Ajinomoto is a flame-retardant based on chlorinated fatty acid ester. It is a viscous light yellow liquid. It shows excellent compatibility with plastics and rubber as a flame-retardant material controlled by the degree of chlorination. It has good electrical insulation properties. Empara™ A-3 is used in building materials, vehicle interiors and parts, electric wires, electronic parts.
