Surfactants for Plastic Compounds

POLYSTEP® A-16-22 distributed by DKSH is a biodegradable, anionic surfactant based on sodium salt of branched alkylbenzene sulfonic acid. It is suitable for vinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride.

• It is used in styrene butadiene rubber (SBR), styrene acrylic latexes and emulsion polymerization.
• It is Kosher certified.

POLYSTEP® B-11 distributed by DKSH is a biodegradable, non-toxic, anionic surfactant used in the manufacture of latex. It aids in the control of latex particle size.

• It is suitable for most polymer systems, especially with vinyl chloride and styrene-butadiene emulsions.

POLYSTEP® TSP-2580 distributed by DKSH is a biodegradable, polyarylphenol ethoxylated non-ionic sufactant. It provides mechanical & freeze-thaw stability, water resistance and adhesion in emulsion polymerization systems.

• It is used in latex.
• It is Kosher certified.
• POLYSTEP® TSP-2580 is available in Indonesia.

Glycolube® SML-20 by Arxada is a high HLB surfactant. It also acts as a lubricant, viscosity modifier, wetting agent and O/W emulsifier. It is an effective anti-fog agent in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and an anti-static agent in polyolefins.

• It is suitable for use in synthetic fiber finishing oil formulations.
• It is recommended for plastic, household and textile applications.
• Glycolube® SML-20 is listed in TSCA.

SOLVENTO PEG by Solvento is a lubricant, plasticizer and surfactant. Offers tailored viscosity, melting point and solvency characteristics. It provides solubility, lubricity and biocompatibility. It is used in metalworking fluid and mold release. It is REACH registered. SOLVENTO PEG has a shelf life of 24 months.

Darvan® L by Vanderbilt Chemicals is ammonium salt of alkyl phosphate. It acts as a surfactant and mold lubricant for rubber stock. It also acts as corrosion inhibitor. Darvan® L removes surface tack from freshly mixed stock.

ECO Tween™ 20 by Croda is a 100% bio-based, non-ionic surfactant used as versatile O/W emulsifier, dispersant, adjuvant, wetting agent and solubilizer. It is easy to handle and offers manufacturing flexibility. It is compatible with acrylic, vinylic, epoxy, natural oils, waxes, esters, polyesters and polyurethane. Tween™ 20 is used in liquid masterbatches. Complies with REACH, EU 10/2011, FDA (175.105) and Swiss Ordinance A.

SINOPOL 3005 by Sino-Japan Chemical is a non-ionic surfactant. It is polyoxyethylene allyl alcohol ether. It acts an anti-static agent. SINOPOL 3005 is recommended for use in rubbers and resins industry.

SINOPOL H1560-1 by Sino-Japan Chemical is a non-ionic surfactant and acts an anti-static agent. It is polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil. SINOPOL H1560-1 is recommended for use in resins and rubbers industry. It is available as paste.
