VALPOL GP-4350
by Greenchemicals
VALPOL GP-4350 by Greenchemicals acts as a processing-aid, dispersing agent and surface slippery promoter. It is a general-purpose additive designed for technopolymers, including high-temperature processing polymers such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polysulfones, and polyether ether ketone (PEEK).
- It reduces the viscosity during melting while maintaining intrinsic viscosity, leading to lower processing temperatures (by 35-40°C), which extends the thermal lifespan of polymers, particularly those sensitive to heat like POM and wood-plastic composites.
- It avoids the extrusion "empties", problem that often occurs specially extruding polymers with different or "disordered" viscosities (in the fibers extrusion the phenomenon induces breakages).
- It enhances extrusion efficiency, preventing extrusion voids and improving polymer intermeshing in blends like acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS)/polycarbonate (PC), polycarbonate (PC)/polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), and polystyrene (PS)/polyethylene (PE).
- VALPOL GP-4350 also facilitates better pigment, filler, and glass fiber dispersion, improves mold release, reduces cycle times, and minimizes surface friction and wear on extruder components, particularly in glass fiber-reinforced polymers.
- Recommended dosage level is 0.25-1%.
- Higher dosage of up to 1.5-2.0% can be used without affecting the printability, weldability, or sealability of the polymers.
