Polyol-based Monomers for Plastic Compounds

PTMEG 2000 distributed by DKSH is polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMEG). It is a polymer modifier, used as an ingredient for reactions to form segments or build-in blocks in the polymers.

• It gives polyuethanes with excellent resistance to low temperatures.
• It is a blend of linear diol in which the hydroxy groups are separated by repeating tetramethylene ether groups.
• PTMEG 2000 reacts easily with isocyanates (MDI, TDI etc.) or the like, to give a variety of polymers, which have the characteristics of superb abrasion resistance, hydrolysis resistance, excellent dynamic properties including resilience under low temperature, resistance to fungus attack.
• It is available in Switzerland, Germany and France.

Puranol F330 distributed by DKSH is a polyol. It exhibits thermal stability, low functionality, high molecular weight, molecular chain flexibility, low primary hydroxyl content with week reaction activity.

• Puranol F330 is mainly used for polyurethane elastomer.

Poly-CO2® by Monument Chemical are a high-performance polycarbonate ether (PCE) polyols. They are obtained from captured carbon. They reduce the carbon footprint and can be used alone or together with recycled and bio-based polyols.

• They are compatible with emerging recycling systems.
• Poly-CO2® are used to make high-performance polyurethanes for furniture and mattresses, automotive parts, apparel and footwear.
• They are more evenly distributed along the backbone of the polymer to ensure performance, quality, and stability.
• Incorporating carbon at the molecular level can impart performance benefits in a range of polyurethane applications from foams to flame lamination.

BIOH® Polyols by Cargill is a soy-based polyol. It is made from soybean oil and used to replace a portion of the petrochemicals in polyurethane applications.

• It is very diverse and can be used broadly across many of these applications.
• It is industrial ingredient for polyurethane products such as flexible foam used in upholstered furniture, mattresses, pillows, carpet cushion and automotive seats.
• It is also used as insulation for roofs, walls, appliances and coolers.

Puranol F 3600T by Jiahua Chemicals is a high reactivity polyol. This grade uses trimethylolpropane (TMP) as an initiator for molding processes. Puranol F 3600T is used in manufacturing flexible foams for automobile seats, trains & airplanes and polyurethane (PU) based foams for steering wheels & dashboards.

ADICROL BN 112 by Nord Composites is an aliphatic polyester polyol with 1,4-BDO, NPG as main glycol. It is linear in structure and exhibits very good physical & mechanical properties and good hydrolysis resistance. ADICROL BN 112 is used for the production of elastomers & thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU).

ADICROL BN 56 by Nord Composites is a linear structure aliphatic polyester polyol with 1,4-BDO, NPG as main glycol. It exhibits very good physical & mechanical properties and good hydrolysis resistance. ADICROL BN 56 is used to produce cast elastomers and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).

Pricerine™ 9091 by Croda is a high purity glycerine, guaranteed vegetable (99.5%) grade. It is available in Europe and Latin America.

VORANOL™ 220-056N by Dow is polypropylene glycol. It is acidified for enhanced prepolymer stability. It offers consistent processing and mechanical properties to the end product. Also, allows for the adjustment of curing time. It is used in the manufacturing of prepolymers.

Ymer™ N120 by Perstorp is polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether based difunctional monomer. It is used as a chemical building block. It is recommended for fiber sizing. Ymer™ N120 is suitable for polyurethane dispersions, hydrophilic PU-systems and waterborne resin systems like alkyd, epoxy, polyester, polyurethane.
