Halogenated Monomers for Plastic Compounds

ETHYLENE DICHLORIDE- EDC by Braskem is ethylene dichloride (99.9%). It is an oily liquid, clear and colorless substance that presents a sweet chloroform-like odor. Used in manufacture of VCM (vinyl chloride monomer) which is further used for PVC manufacture.

Doublemer® 278 by Double Bond Chemical is chlorinated polyester acrylate. It is a light-yellowish liquid. It has fast cure, exhibits good pigment wetting and excellent adhesion. Doublemer® 278 is suitable for PP, PE, PET and OPP.

BP-EF by Songwon is a 4, 4-(9-fluorenylidene) bis (2-phenoxyethanol) by Songwon. It is highly suitable as components of a conducting polymer. It can stabilize and conduct a charge. It offers luminescence, absorption and electronic properties. BP-EF is recommended for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), solar cells, and thin-film sensors.

BX-DAC by Gelest (Mitsubishi Chemical) is diallyl chlorendate. It is a clear, slightly viscous liquid. Suitable for intumescent polymers, optical resins, artificial marble, forming protective skin on intricately molded product, fire retardant and antistatic films.

VCM (Vinyl Chloride Monomer) by SABIC is chloroethene. It is a reactive gas with a faint odor. Under refrigeration, it is converted into liquid with a density of 0.91 gm/cc. VCM (Vinyl Chloride Monomer) is sparingly soluble in water and soluble in alcohol. Used in the production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

VISIOMER® MAPTAC by Evonik is an aqueous solution of 3-trimethylammoniumpropylmethacrylamide chloride. It is registered and listed within REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals).

VISIOMER® TMAEMC by Evonik is an aqueous solution of trimethylammoniumethyl methacrylate chloride. It is registered and listed within REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals).

Allyl hexafluoroisopropanol (Allyl HFIP) by Halocarbon is a halogenated monomer. It is a colorless flammable liquid with pungent odor. Used as a building block in organic synthesis and preparation of specialty polymers.

3-Methoxy-2,2,3,3-tetrafluoromethyl propionate (MTPME) by Shandong Huaxia Shenzhou is an important special fluorinated fine chemical. Colorless and clear liquid with aroma. It is inflammable and relatively non-toxic. Shows a stable performance and easy decomposition at high temperature. Mainly used for synthesizing key intermediates used in production of perfluoro carboxylic acid resin and an important raw material for producing perfluoro or partial fluorinated vinyl ester. 3-Methoxy-2,2,3,3-tetrafluoromethyl propionate (MTPME) is widely applied in production of pharmaceutical intermediates and fluoropolymers.

SP-49-011 by Specific Polymers is 2-(methacryloyloxy)ethyl-2,3,5-triiodobenzoate. It is UV curable, halogen-based monomer. Offers optical properties. It is suitable for thermoplastic and thermoset applications. Used in medical imaging.
