Caprolactam Monomers for Plastic Compounds

AP-NYLON® Caprolactam (Flakes) by Brüggemann is caprolactam with low moisture content. It is specifically used as raw material in the anionic polymerization of polyamide 6.

• It is suitable for use in applications where reduced moisture content is necessary or improved flowability of the flakes is the key factor for the product handling.
• AP-NYLON® Caprolactam (Flakes) has a shelf life of 12 months.

V-Cap™ /TP by Ashland is a reactive monomer used as a versatile, low-viscosity reactive diluent. It can be handled as a super-cooled liquid and remains stable in liquid form at room temperature for extended periods. It offers faster cure speed, improved adhesion, and enhanced hardness.

• It also imparts hydrophobicity and surface activity owing to its unique seven-membered ring structure.
• V-Cap™ /TP is used in the production of homo-, co- and terpolymers.

N-Vinyl Caprolactam by BASF is water soluble monomer. It has high reactivity and high cutting power. N-Vinyl Caprolactam imparts good hardness and adhesion.

V-Cap™ RC by Ashland is a pale yellow crystalline solid, N-vinyl-2-caprolactam stabilized with 10 ppm N,N’-di-sec-butyl p-phenylenediamine. It accelerates UV curing rates as the reactive diluent. It imparts unique solution viscosity reduction and enhanced adhesion to non-polar substrates. It also offers hydrophilicity, adhesiveness, strength & complexing capability. V-Cap™ RC is a super cooled liquid and can remain as a liquid at room temperature for extended periods. It has pyrrolidone ring and produces amorphous & hydrophobic polymers.

Caprolactam by Grupa Azoty is e-aminocaproic acid lactam. Is offered in two states, white solid (irregular flakes) at 20°C, and colorless clear liquid above 70°C with no mechanical impurities. It is used as a monomer for the production of polyamide, polymers, thermoplastics, resins and thermosetting resins.
