Anti-foaming Agents / Defoamers for Plastic Compounds

Gardobond® Additive H 7603 distributed by DKSH is a high performance siliconic defoamer based on functionalized polysiloxane engineered to break down foam developed by industrial bath. It is not sensible to temperature or pH.

Troykyd® D767 by Arxada is a fungicide. It is suitable for polymers like flexible PVC, and plastisols. It offers high effectiveness against fungi, algae, and bacteria and against pink staining. It does not contain arsenic and heavy metal. This additive exhibits cost-effectiveness and favorable regulatory profile. Fungitrol® 10L helps control surface mildew on polyolefins.

HDK® H2000 by Wacker is synthetic, hydrophobic amorphous silica, produced via flame hydrolysis. Appears as a white colloidal powder of high purity. It acts as a antifoam agent and used as a reinforcing filler in elastomers, mainly silicone-elastomers. Its good dispersion is a must to assure optimum performance. HDK® H2000 has a shelf life of at least 24 months when stored in unbroken original packaging in dry storage areas.

Surfactol® 318 by aurorium is a castor oil based on the addition of ethylene oxide to the hydroxyl groups. Acts as a non-ionic surfactant, defoamer, emulsifier, wetting and anti-static agent. Shows dispersibility or complete solubility of the product. It is ideal for low-foaming oil/ water emulsions. It utilizes the properties of castor oil such as lubricity, penetration, pigment wetting and dye enhancement in water-based systems. Shows compatibility with urethane intermediate, polyester and acrylic resin. Surfactol® 318 is used in polymer applications.

Surfactol® 365 by aurorium is a castor oil grade based on the addition of ethylene oxide to the hydroxyl groups. Acts as a solvent, wetting agent, non-ionic surfactant, defoamer, emulsifier and anti-static agent. Shows dispersibility or complete solubility of the product. It is ideal for low-foaming oil/ water emulsions. It utilizes the properties of castor oil such as lubricity, penetration, pigment wetting and dye enhancement in water-based systems. Shows compatibility with urethane intermediate, oils, fats, waxes, oleoresinous binders, insecticides, polyesters and acrylics. Surfactol® 365 is suitable for use in polymer applications.

DEUREX® X 20 K by Deurex is an ethylene-bis-stearamide wax (EBS) grade obtained from sugar cane plant. Acts as a release, dispersing, defoaming, processing & anti-blocking agent, and internal & external lubricant. Exhibits temperature stability, light color, no odor and no influence on transparency. Shows compatibility with polyvinylchloride (PVC), synthetic rubber and fibers. DEUREX® X 20 K is suitable for use in plastic industry, rubber and paper applications. Complies with EU: Regulation (EU) 10/2011, USA: FDA 21 CFR §§ 175.105, 175.300, 175.320,175.380, 175.390, 176.170, 176.180, 177.1200, 177.1210, 177.1350, 177.1400, 177.2470, 177.2480, 178.3860, 179.45 and 181.28 regulations intended to come in contact with food.

PETOL® 120-2 A by Oltchim is used as a lubricant and defoamer. It is poly (propylene oxide) homopolymer (PPG). PETOL® 120-2 A is also used as viscosity reducer and flexibleness agent for epoxy resins. It is suitable for elastomers.

Octosperse TS-10 by Tiarco Chemical ids Polydimethylsiloxane and silica blend. Octosperse TS-10 is used as defoamer.

Inovol AF12 by Inovyl permits greater efficiency in the stripper by reducing foam formation and enhancing thermal transfer from stream to polymer slurry. Developed to effectively reduce foaming that could occur during the discharge of slurry from reactor or during the high temperature stripping of PVC slurry. Allows trouble free operation of stripping columns. Minimises carry-over of polymer. Inovol AF12 has no negative effect on polymer quality.

BYK® -3155 by BYK is a silicone-free, polymer-based air release additive for PVC plastisol. This standard, all-purpose additive is a compound of polyoxyalkylene derivatives. It is especially recommended for unfilled, filled & foamed plastisol and recommended for plastisol containing BBP/Mesamoll. The recommended level is 0.2-1% additive (as supplied) based on the total formulation. It is listed in EINECS, TSCA, DSL, AICS, PICCS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC and ECSI. It is in line with Directive 2011/65/EU (EU RoHS 2), as amended by the Delegated Directive (EU) 2015/863 (EU RoHS 3), EU Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), EU Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging Waste) and CONEG Toxics in Packaging. It complies with REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 and FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 Olefin polymers. It is suitable for food contact plastics. The shelf life of BYK® -3155 is 60 months.
