Univar Solution expands Dow silicone additives distribution in EMEA

Univar Solutions B.V., a subsidiary of Univar Solutions LLC, said its Ingredients + Specialties segment has expanded its strategic partnership with Dow under a new distribution agreement covering Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
According to the company, the agreement includes distribution of Dow’s silicone additives for plastics and composites across the region.

Aiming to improve operational efficiency with tailored solutions
According to the companies, the agreement expands access to silicone additives designed for plastics and composite applications, including products intended to support processing, durability, and resource efficiency.
Univar Solutions said Dow contributes silicone materials expertise, while Univar Solutions provides commercial distribution, product management, sales, and technical support capabilities. The companies said the collaboration is aimed at helping manufacturers improve operational efficiency through tailored specialty chemical solutions.
Univar Solutions also highlighted the role of its Essen Solution Center in supporting product development activities across EMEA. The company said the facility works with suppliers including Dow on application-focused solutions for the CASE, rubber, and plastics sectors. According to Univar Solutions, its Ingredients + Specialties business combines specialty chemical distribution, local sales support, and supply chain services to support customers from product development through commercialization.

The distribution agreement covers Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom.
