Polyethylene Terephthalate. It is made from pure terephthalic acid (PTA) and mono-ethylene glycol derived from sugarcane-based bioethanol (bio-MEG). It is recyclable and non-biodegradable. Used in interior surfaces, including seats, carpets, automotive resources, apparel and areas where the application of conventional bio-plastics is technically difficult. Also used for the PET bottles of mineral water.
Globio™ 056TT by Toyota Tsusho is a polyester resin. It is made from sugarcane-based bioethanol (bio-MEG) and petro-based PTA. It is recyclable, sustainable and traceable material. It possesses excellent optical clarity, processability, good thermal stability, high stress crack resistance and toughness. Globio™ 056TT shows excellent properties for fiber and textile products.
