1251 is a syndiotactic form of copolymer polypropylene grade. Possesses lower melting, lower crystallinity and shows narrower molecular weight distribution product than conventional polypropylene. The material melts at a lower temperature, is more viscous and takes longer to set up. It is slightly more tacky and elastic in nature than conventional polypropylene. Offers excellent clarity and room temperature impact. Recommended for film-, sheet constructions and is suitable for processing by injection molding. Applications include media, jewel boxes, packaging general and housewares. Is a FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 compliant grade.
