PrimoSpire® PR-351 BK 931 by Solvay is a black colored, high flow, amorphous, self-reinforced polyphenylene (SRP) polymer. It is a non-combustible, melt-processable, flame retardant grade. The unique properties of this material are primarily due to the inherent rigid-rod structure. It is suitable for processing by compression molding, injection molding, profile-, film-, wire & cable extrusion and machining. It shows very low coefficient of linear thermal expansion (CLTE), very low moisture absorption, exceptional low temperature performance, great wear and friction properties, ductility, stiffness/toughness balanced, high strength, exceptional hardness and surface finish. It offers good resistance towards scratch, solvent and chemical. PrimoSpire® PR-351 BK 931 is used in aircraft substructures, semiconductor components, bushings, bearings, gears, films, housings, light-weight vehicle suspensions systems and healthcare/ medical devices and tubing. It complies with RoHS. PrimoSpire® PR-250 BK 931 by Solvay is a black colored, ultra-high performance, amorphous, self-reinforced polyphenylene (SRP) polymer. It is a non-combustible, melt-processable, flame retardant grade. The unique properties of this material are primarily due to the inherent rigid-rod structure. PrimoSpire®
Plastics and elastomers supplied by Solvay
PrimoSpire® by Solvay are self-reinforced polyphenylene (SRP), one of the strongest & stiffest unfilled plastics that deliver best-in-class tensile properties compared to many reinforced plastics. It is an excellent candidate for weight-sensitive applications that have historically relied on composites and specialty metals for superior mechanical performance.
Key benefits of PrimoSpire® brand include:
- Light weight and no loss of ductility
- High compressive strength
