OM 1109 by Ortofon is a bromo isobutylene isoprene (80%) and chloroprene (20%) rubber (BIIR/CR) grade. Exhibits high impermeability to gases & liquids, excellent aging stability and good damping properties. Offers good heat resistance, resistance to biological factors (fungi and soil bacteria), low gas permeability and good electrical properties. Also offers optimum wear resistance, weather resistance, ozone resistance, optimum resistance to hydrolysis (water & steam) and optimum resistance to chemicals (acid & bases). OM 1109 is recommended for dampers, tubes, membranes, antivibration mounting and medical applications.
