HIPOL 16 LV

HIPOL 16 LV by Huber Group Micro Inks is a novel low viscosity polyvinylbutyral (PVB) grade by Huber Group (Micro Inks). Offers excellent adhesion to metals, plastics, glass, ceramics, wood, concentrate and leather. Exhibits large surface area, low molecular weight, transparent solutions with minimum loss of solvent and film forming properties. Provides excellent pigment wetting in non-aqueous medium, flexibility and good adhesion-, heat-, water- and chemical resistance. Shows low softening temperature, good heat sealing properties, good flow and good blocking resistance. Is soluble in low cost environment friendly solvents like alcohols & glycol ethers and has an ability to accept esters & ketones. Can be reduced or eliminated completely by cross-linking reaction involving free hydroxyl groups. Compatible with other film forming resins like N.C, epoxy alkyds, phenolics, cellulosics etc. It is used in flexographic/gravure printing inks for surface printing, heat sealing lacquers, two-pack paints and lamination applications in flexible packaging. HIPOL 16 LV is an ideal binder for production of pigment chips, thermal transfer printing inks and varnishes.
