Melamine (Gujlamine) by Gujarat State Fertilizers Chemicals (GSFC) is a melamine powder reacted with formaldehyde for industrial products. It is a tasteless, odorless and non-toxic grade. It gives excellent dimensional stability, clear and bright colors. Offers good hardness, resistance to scratch, stain, water and heat. Possesses high mechanical strength and good electrical insulating properties. Provides very high dielectric strength to asbestos filled melamine resins. Used in laminates for table tops, kitchen shelves, platforms, wall cladding, bus-bodies, interior of railway coaches, counters, deckings and instrument panels. Also used in consumer molded goods like bowls, trays, spatulas, mixer's base, crockery, cutlery items, launderable buttons and lamp shades. Other industrial molded goods where Melamine (Gujlamine) is used are circuit breakers, television tube support, automotive ignition components, washing machine, agitators, soda fountain parts, switch gears, switch housings, connector plus inserts, watt-meter terminal block, junction boxes, fuse carriers and plating tanks.
