Durethan® (Plastics and elastomers)

Durethan® by Envalior are polyamide 6 and polyamide 66 grades that are easy to process. They exhibit high mechanical strength and stiffness along with good dielectric properties, high resistance to both heat and chemicals and good friction and wear properties.

Durethan® product range includes:

  • Durethane A: PA66 for automotive high temperature under the hood and cooling circuits as well as flame retardant EE applications
  • Durethane B: PA6 for automotive, furniture, power tool housings and packaging film for medical, food and industrial goods
  • Durethane C: PA6-Copolymer based for food-contact films and multi-layer films applications
  • Durethane T: Transparent PA6I, a partially aromatic polyamide that is used in applications requiring resistance to hydrocarbons, lipids and disinfectants

Durethan® FLX-RTM

Durethan® FLX-RTM by Envalior is an easy flowing, heat stabilized, impact modified polyamide 6 (PA 6) grade. It offers excellent low‑temperature mechanical performance and melt flow for complex geometries. It is suitable for rotational molding of tank liners.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li> It offers a highly economical single‑stage process that produces homogeneous components-eliminating pinch‑off seams typical of extrusion blow‑molded liners and weld seams required in multi-part injection‑molded designs.</li> <li> It provides low hydrogen permeability, providing a high barrier against small gas molecules. </li> <li>It shows good compatibility with liquid fuels, including CE10 gasoline and other apolar liquids.</li> <li> Durethan® FLX-RTM also provides exceptional toughness at temperatures down to –40°C along with high elongation, flexibility and ductility.</li>

Durethan® BKV60H2.0EF DUS060 by Envalior is an engineering thermoplastic based on polyamide 6 and polyamide 66. It is specifically a circular compound made with around 90% sustainable raw materials using the ISCC Plus mass balance approach. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li> It provides high mechanical strength and stiffness, good dielectric properties, high resistance to heat and chemical attack. </li> <li>It has good friction and wear properties, along with excellent electrical properties such as high-volume resistance and dielectric strength. </li> <li>It also shows high thermal stability, easy-flow behavior, and the ability to produce thin-walled. </li> <li>It enables a reduction in carbon footprint by over 80% compared to fossil-based materials. </li> <li>It is processed using injection molding. </li> <li>It is used in mounting frames for switches in smart home applications and also in automotive such as engine mounts. </li></ul>

Durethan® BLUEB31F by Envalior is a halogen-free flame-retardant, unreinforced polyamide 6 (PA 6). It is low viscosity, food contact quality grade and contains no additives. Possesses high mechanical strength, good electrical insulation properties and high stiffness. Exhibits good toughness, low friction, dynamic load bearing properties and good processability. Provides high wear-, abrasion-, shock & fracture resistance and the attenuation of noise and vibration. Shows high resistance to heat (170 to 200 °C over the short term; 80 to 160 °C long-term) and chemicals such as fuels, lubricants, solvents and cleaning agents. Is suitable for processing by injection molding. Applications include barrier layers in coextrusion blow molded containers for e.g. agrochemicals. Durethan® BC 304 H3.0 000000 complies with REACH (Regulation EC No. 1907/2006) and RoHS.
