Established in December 2005 as a subsidiary of SK Networks and headquartered in South Korea, EcolBiotech was the first Korean company to localize production of polylactic acid (PLA). Spun off as an independent entity in September 2009, the company manufactures nano-composite biodegradable materials under its EcolGreen brand, blending PLA with twelve organic materials to create grades for injection molding, blown film, fiber, and packaging. Products degrade in as little as 45 days, are dioxin-free, and offer physical properties comparable to PS, PP, PE, and nylon.

EcolGreen EGP-300

EcolGreen EGP-300 by EcolBiotech is nano-composite biodegradable material which is produced by mixing with 12 environmental friendly additives. It is free of synthetic resin and does not cause harmful matters such as dioxin. It also degrades completely in the natural environment. It provides similar physical properties to PS, PP, LLDPE and is applicable to packing films, bags, laminating films, etc.

EcolGreen EGP-104

EcolGreen EGP-104 by EcolBiotech is a semi-opaque, PLA (Poly Lactic Acid) grade. It is nano-composite biodegradable material which is produced by mixing with 12 environmental friendly additives. It possesses excellent hardness, humidity resistance and chemical resistance. It is free of synthetic resin and does not cause harmful matters such as dioxin. It also degrades completely in the natural environment. EcolGreen EGP-104 has similar physical properties to ABS, PS and PP. It is used in sealing containers as well as Korean paper-caps.
