Founded in 1943 and headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA, East West Copolymer (formerly Lion Copolymer) operates a synthetic rubber facility built by the US Government during World War II - one of the first cold polymerization plants in North America. Its plastics portfolio covers styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) under the COPO and CARBOMIX brands, and nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) under the Nicryl brand, serving tires, conveyor belts, molded mechanical goods, and extruded profiles. Products comply with REACH and European Directive 2005/69/EC.
