EMAC+® SP1501 by Westlake is a soft, flexible, low viscosity, plasticizers free ethylene methyl acrylate (EMA) copolymer grade with 20% methyl acrylate (MA). Exhibits excellent elasticity, good strength, good toughness, excellent adhesion, high solids fillability, excellent environmental stress-cracking resistance (ESCR) and high coefficient of friction or “surface tack” for nonskid or high-grip surfaces. Offers high melting point, better clarity, improved processing, good low-temperature impact strength. EMAC+® SP1501 is compatible with various polymers including paper, polyolefins, oriented polyolefins, polyesters, ionomers, PVC, unplasticized PVC & other polar polymers and an additional compatibility in polymer alloys. Is suitable for processing by extrusion coating and compounding. Complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1340 regulation.
