Extir® CM PD Galileo Europa 5 AE by Versalis Eni Group is an expandable polystyrene (EPS) grade produced using Continuous Mass technology. Contains an atherman additive that reduces heat transfer, pentane as foaming agent and a flame retarding agent. Exhibits very low dimensional dispersion, reduced content of blowing agent and top insulation level. Designed for injection molding process. Items made from Extir® CM PD Galileo Europa 5 AE are grey in color and shows good fusion, low shrinkage and very good surface aspect. Provides excellent thermal insulation properties and possesses formula, permitting the use of thinner boards to get same thermal resistance. Recommended for cavity wall insulation, stepsound insulating boards for flooring, boards for internal insulation coupled with plasterboard and external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS). Can be used for production of blocks and subsequent cutting and in molding of thick items. Complies with DIN 4102 Class B1.
