1471 is a syndiotactic form of copolymer polypropylene (PP) grade. Shows lower melting, lower crystallinity, narrow molecular weight distribution product than conventional polypropylene. The material melts at a lower temperature, is more viscous and takes longer to set up. It is slightly more tacky and elastic in nature than conventional polypropylene. Offers excellent clarity and room temperature impact. Recommended for extruded sheet and film constructions. Applications include woven slit film, geosynthetics and technical textiles. Is a FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 compliant grade.
