GPPS1160 by Tabriz Petrochemical Company is a high heat resistance, high molecular weight, crystal general purpose polystyrene (GPPS) grade. It exhibits high mechanical properties. It is suitable for processing by extrusion and bi-oriented polystyrene (OPS) applications. It can be used in dilution with HIPS7240 for extrusion of foamed sheet for thermoforming. GPPS1160 is particularly useful in production of thick sheet by direct inject gassing, where it gives expanded sheets. Recommended for manufacturing of shower cabinets, lighting thin films, insulation board, foam sheet of fruits trays, meat trays and egg boxes. It is food contact approved.
